BRES has been an incorporated, 501c3 non-profit organization since late summer of 2022

We’re an all breed, all discipline, all age, all inclusive equine organization. Our members come from many counties including Botetourt, Roanoke, Rockbridge, Montgomery, Bedford, and Franklin. Our members’ equine include mules, donkeys, horses – drafts, Egyptian Arabians, fancy sport breeds, rescues – minis and standards. Some of us compete, some of us just scoop lots of poop in our back yards. We gather to hear speakers talk about equine topics, we get together to visit and pool goods/funds to help those in need, and we volunteer for projects that help us raise money to aid unfortunate animals in our region and other parts of the country.

If you’re interested in supporting us, please look into our membership program or consider donating. We try to make it as easy as possible to get involved – no requirements other than to come and enjoy your time, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Membership is only $24 for 12 months – individual or $36 for a family.  While membership is not required to attend the majority of our events, your financial support is appreciated.
